18x24 oil on wrap around canvas   Magnolias are a favorite Springtime flower.  With their  smooth, creamy petals and hints of soft pinks and corals, they are always something to look forward to when the winter is over.  But, like most Spring flowers, you have to enjoy them to their fullest, because they blooms only last for a short time. I have always wondered why this is.  Why cant Spring flowers last to be enjoyed for months?  It seems to be a reminder that beauty is fleeting and although a gift for us to enjoy, it also is a reminder, perhaps, that it is only a taste of Heaven, where gifts of beauty will be eternal.
