  One of a dozen of the "Rose Bouquet" collection, this painting is based on the classic passage of scripture, I Corinthians 13, known as "The love chapter".  This passage, with the feel of poetry, personifies Love and describes Love's character traits, all of which shows care for another's highest good.
 
               " Love is patient and kind;
                 love does not envy or boast;
                  It  is not arrogant or rude.
                  It does not insist on its own way;
                  It is not irritable or resentful;
                  It does not rejoice at wrongdoing,
                  but rejoices with the truth.
                  Love bears all things,
                  Believes all things,
                  Hopes  all things,
                   Endures all things."
