This 10x10" original oil painting on cradled gesso board is not for the faint of heart!  The design an colors were chosen as a nod to the carefree days of youth - in particular in the ecae of the eighties.  From the checker board background, reminiscent of Van loafers. to the bold, almost neon colors of the flowers - this one  is meant to bring the lyrics of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" to mind.  
   I know this is a little different than my typical style - but my goodness, it was fun to paint and to relive my teen years through this painting.  
  This panting is for the person who boldly lives their life, who loves color and pattern, and who isn't satisfied with "status quo".  IS that you?!
